Details

Philip Knox is not known to be sound of hearing. His work grapples with being deaf and the effects that can have on the soul and mind. Living life with a disability. Finding pieces of the soul and describing how they feel on canvas. The conditions of owning and wearing an identity. These are the parts that make up his practice. Philips paintings run wild with energy and color while his photography is cold and meticulous, subjects awash in isolation.

Philip Knox received his BA in Studio Art from Denison University and graduated with the class of 2017. After graduation, Philip was accepted a position managing a multimedia team for Volume Technologies. Today, he is working to build his own company, develop his personal brand and take as many pictures as possible.
